Bank Holiday Weekend in Grimsby!
The first of May’s two bank holidays is just around the corner, and we absolutely cannot wait. So here’s our run down of how you can spend your first Bank Holiday weekend here in Grimsby…
Charity Football Match (Sunday 5th May)
Just a 10min drive from us, a Charity football match will be held at the Myenergi Stadium. Cleethorpes Town FC have announced a special charity match in memory of David and Cameron Walsh; paying tribute to the father and son following their tragic deaths on January 6. Kick-off for the special game will be at 2pm, with gates open at noon. Admission will be £5 for adults, and £2.50 for under 16s.
Classic Car Show (Sunday 5th May)
Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane as you experience an exquisite collection of timeless beauties from decades past. Just 30mins from our hotel at Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre you can experience the elegance and craftsmanship of vintage automobiles as they gleam under the sun, each telling its own unique story of automotive excellence. From sleek muscle cars to iconic roadsters, there’s something for every car enthusiast to admire. Whether you’re a seasoned collector, a vintage car aficionado, or simply appreciate the timeless allure of classic automobiles, the Annual Classic Car Show promises an unforgettable experience for all ages.
P*ssed Up Panto – Jack and the Beanstalk! (Sunday 5th May)
Have you ever watched a pantomime and wondered what mischief the cast would get up to if there weren’t any children in the audience? What happens when the cast have had one-too-many?! Now’s your chance to find out at the Grimsby Auditorium…! This unique production is not for the faint-hearted – it’s panto as you’ve never seen it before! The show is packed to the brim full of innuendo, hilarious comedy routines, parodies of well-known songs and audience participation, creating a performance that’s sure to be hilarious, cheeky, saucy and sometimes just a little bit naughty…okay…very naughty…!
