July in Grimsby

Summer is officially here in Grimsby and the school holidays are just around the corner. With that in mind, we have pulled together our top things to do this month:

DocksFest – 6th July

DocksFest 2024 takes place on Saturday 6 July 2024 at Meridian Showground, Cleethorpes.

Razorlight headlines this great line-up at North East Lincolnshire’s Premier Live Music Festival. They will be joined at DocksFest by the folk-punk troubadour Frank Turner, anthemic rock stalwarts Feeder, indie-pop favourites Lottery Winners, Manchester band Afflecks Palace and homegrown talent Orphan Boy and Healer. The event will be hosted by Grimsby comedian and presenter, Lloyd Griffith.

Do not miss this major Summer festival in 2024. It promises to be a vibrant celebration of music, street food and great beer and should be an unforgettable experience for festival-goers.

Grimsby Family Festival – July 6th & 7th

Join the crowd at People’s Park Grimsby for a fun two-day family festival featuring food stalls, lifelike dinosaurs, circus workshop, fairground rides, dog show, bouncy castle, stalls and more.

The Three Musketeers at Parkway Cinema Cleethorpes – July 4th

Armed only with a baguette and his questionable steed, join hot-headed D’Artagnan as he travels to Paris full of childish excitement and misplaced bravado to become a Musketeer. Will things go to plan? It’s unlikely. He immediately encounters the dangerous femme fatale, Milady de Winter. After discovering that the musketeers have been disbanded, he makes it his mission to get them reinstated. But will his feud with Milady thwart him? And who the heck is she?

This riotous adaptation of Alexandre Dumas’ classic novel by John Nicholson was originally performed by physical-comedy theatre company Le Navet Bete on a UK tour in 2019, with four actors playing over thirty characters. It was co-produced by Le Navet Bete and Exeter Northcott Theatre.

Class Act adults will have a little more help in the way of supporting cast but this promises to be their most hilariously chaotic adventure yet!

Laceby Dog Show -14th July

Come along to the FIRST EVER Laceby Dog Show in aid of The Laceby Community Collective. Join local small businesses as we get together to put on a fantastic event and raise some funds for The Laceby Community Collective.

Fun Dog Show (anyone can enter, no preregistry required, just pay as you enter the ring!) – rosettes for 1st-3rd place, professional photography from Jlw PhoDography, food stalls, a beer tent, market stalls for humans and dogs, a treasure hunt, flyball, face painting, hair braiding and demonstrations from Lincs Pet First Aid and North East Lincs Dog Training.
