May Bank Holiday weekends in London
The first of May’s two bank holidays is just around the corner, and we absolutely cannot wait. We have to say, the early May bank holiday feels like the unofficial start of summer here in London and we are hoping for balmy, sun kissed weather.
So here’s our run down of how you can spend your not one; but TWO long weekends here in London…
Taste Italy…but in London:
SicilyFEST is a four-day (May 2nd – 5th) weekend that brings the magic and enchantment of Sicily to London. It’s an epic celebration of food, wine, and good times. From The Queen’s Yard Summer Party on May 4th to Wide Awake Festival on May 25th; there’s music festivals dotted around London, so plenty to choose from and music of all genres. Get a Dopamine Hit:
Did you know that there is a London museum/experience that is quite literally designed to give you a dopamine boost? Dopamine Land is a “multisensory experience that combines media, technology and play in one place”. It’s perfect for kids, and for letting out the kids inside all of us as we channel the imagination of our childhood. Take a break and light up some of those dopamine receptors for a boost of happy emotions! The experience is running throughout May; so hop on the tube; just a 27min train ride from us, and get your fix for the day!

What’s better than one bank holiday? Well… two obviously. May brings Londoners two wonderful opportunities to enjoy the warmer weather with Bank Holidays on May 6th and May 27th and with over 3,500 (yes you read that right), you are SPOILT for choice when it comes to finding somewhere for a pint. Canal Festival Anyone?
A 25min walk from us will get you to a place called Little Venice; now here you will find the annual IWA Canalway Cavalcade on the 4th-5th May, which is a celebration of London’s iconic waterways and canal systems. From unique stalls boasting arts and crafts to the best local food and drink, there’s a multitude of activities thanks to the jam-packed festival line-up. There’s truly something for everyone, including the legendary illuminated procession, live music all weekend, fun specifically curated for kids, and so much more!
